Edward C. Earl
Ed joined Watkinson Laird Rubenstein after attending the University of Oregon School of Law. Ed worked as a law clerk at WLR during school, and, while exploring the firm’s practice areas, he found his calling in estate planning. He enjoys working closely with clients—learning about their lives, relationships, and values—in order to develop arrangements that give people the peace of mind that we all deserve. Whether it is ensuring children’s or grandchildren’s educational opportunities, planning for estate and death taxes, protecting the family business for the next generation, or any other goal a client may bring in, Ed is ready to work through the possibilities and the ins-and-outs to create a plan that fits the individual or family. He brings an inquisitive and open mind to problem solving, as well as the patience and attention to detail of a former competitive chess player.
Ed was raised in Eugene and has continued to make Lane County his home. Ed spends much of his spare time in the garden and in the kitchen. He also writes poetry, plays a host of musical instruments, and is an avid reader of both fiction and non-fiction.
